Lessons normally last One or Two hours and you may have one or more lessons a week. Most commonly learners will take a one-hour lesson once a week, but two-hour lessons are often recommended as more is achieved. This is because the first ten minutes of any lesson is usually spent travelling to a suitable location, reviewing the previous lesson and setting the scene for the current lesson, and at the end another five to ten minutes is needed to re-cap the lesson, and sort out any payments and further lesson bookings. On a one hour lesson, therefore only around 45 minutes is actually spent learning new skills and practising. On a 2 hour lesson 100+ minutes are available.
Some people do make better progress with 2 x one-hour lessons a week (one every three to four days) to shorten the break between lessons.
Lessons normally start on the hour or half-hour, and we will collect you from home/work/college and drop you off at a convenient location at the lesson's end. You can have more than one lesson a week, depending on our availability.
